Hi! I’m Mark. Endurance Sports and Strength & Conditioning Coach from the West Island area of Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
I’ve been working in the field of health, fitness and performance for 18 years now. I have had the pleasure of working closely with hundreds of cyclists, runners, triathletes and other athletes looking to improve athletic performance and avoid injuries.
I have accumulated well over 20,000 hours working directly with clients in one-on-one and small group settings. I have been the lead instructor during Personal Trainer certification courses and Athletic Coaching certifications. And, most importantly to me, the more that I practice and learn about athletics and coaching the more driven I am to learn and gain more experience!
My formal education is in Mathematics, Statistics and Psychology… which comes in very handy. Yet my passion has always been sports, performance and the human body. I’ve dedicated years to learning about athletic coaching. I’ve attended numerous courses, workshops and professional training programs. I’ve worked closely with the best coaches, exercise physiologists, athletic therapists, osteopaths, chiropractors and other health & fitness professionals. I have done – and continue to do – a lot of experimentation (nothing beats hands-on know-how through trial-and-error). And I read a great deal.
Most of the clients I work with are amateur athletes that are very enthusiastic about their chosen sport and treat it seriously. I pride myself on taking the best training methodologies for strength, speed, mobility and endurance that I have learned and appropriately adapting the methods to the specific needs of amateur athletes.
